Real life story

What life was like before:
Carefree and happy

What happened (ie the reflection, thought process): I fell deeply in love with someone outside the parameters of what could be (someone we both know with a cheeky smile....)

What life is like following:
Everyday I dream of what can't be and my day is made lighter despite the pain

The unexpected diagnosis of an impediment - a hidden illness

What life was like before:

A full life but without thoughts of dying.

What happened (ie the reflection, thought process):
The seriousness of the diagnosis and possible impacts rocked my perspective and shook up the preciousness of these few fleeting years we have. Our destiny is to return to dust yet how often do we think about it?

What life is like following.
Sobering. I'm being treated and am confident in approaching mortality. Maybe because the threat has rescinded (I hope)
